About
I like software you can feel the edges of — programs that live in a terminal,
talk over a socket, and don't need a browser to be useful. I build from the game
loop all the way down to bare metal: a multiplayer game in Python, an editor and
file-transfer tools written from scratch in Rust and C, and the odd hello-world
booted with no OS underneath.
Alongside that I self-host what I use and keep a running interest in privacy and
opsec. If it can be automated, scripted, or made to run without me, that's usually
where I end up.

Selected work
penne
A multiplayer game where you and your friends become hackers — fulfilling contracts, building server farms and botnets, raiding targets, and hacking each other. Runs entirely in the terminal: pure Python, client/server, an authoritative server, and durable sqlite state.
kong
A terminal text editor written from scratch in Rust — started from the Hecto build and taken in my own direction. An exercise in raw terminal control, rendering, and getting the fundamentals of an editor right.
spaghetti
A low-level system for pushing and pulling your files to and from servers, written in C. Reuses Penne's config parser, with file organization and end-to-end encryption on the roadmap. Small, deliberate, close to the metal.

A curated privacy & cybersecurity knowledge base — hardened browsers, off-grid comms, metadata awareness, tooling, and "levels of paranoia." A practical field guide for anyone learning to shrink their digital footprint.
baremetal-hello-world
Hello world with no OS underneath — bare-metal code booted on ARM under QEMU, with a Makefile tuned to build and run it on Apple silicon. A deliberate dive down to the lowest level of the stack.
MySeriesList — self-hosted
A self-hostable app for tracking the series you watch — own your data, run it on your own box. Part of a broader habit of self-hosting the tools I use instead of renting them.
